TAMMY
The doll you love to dress!
Tammy was produced by the Ideal Toy Company in 1962. She was the obvious response to the most popular doll of the time........Barbie. But Tammy had and still has a sweetness that Barbie's sophistication did not show.
Tammy's name was well chosen because it made her synonymous with the sweetness and innocence of the Tammy portrayed by the epitome of sweetness, Debbie Reynolds, in the movie Tammy and the Bachelor.

By the following year, 1963, Tammy had a family. Mom, Dad, big brother Ted and little sister Pepper made up the family.

In 1964, Tammy became Pos'n Tammy, as did Pepper and Ted. The family grew by one more member as Tammy got a little brother named Pete. Pepper also got a friend this year. Her name was Patti.
By 1965 Tammy had already gone through a make over. Her head mold was new and she now had a slimmer body called "Grown Up". Pepper also went on a diet and a new slimmer model of Pepper was available. More members joined the group this year as Tammy got a friend named Misty and a boyfriend named Bud. Pepper got her best friend Dodi and another friend called Salty(who names their kid Salty!!!).
